I miss those days when im having my attachment for air evacuation with the hong kong EAS and GFS..there is this case that my very first Medical case wif GFS...
Our team was chit chatting sharing our experience. Den suddenly the call bell rang. We receive a Received medical evacuation request from Hong Kong Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre (HKMRCC) for an unconscious crewmember suffering from seizure on board a US vessel in International Waters (21°52'N, 117°18'E ), 190 nm from Hong Kong.

After we receive the call, immediately our team swing into action...We went to get our equipment from the store and board the Eurocopter AS332L2 Super Puma Helicopter, and off we proceed to our location which is Waters (21°52'N, 117°18'E ), 190 nm from Hong Kong., i was so excited...
After about 20min, we arrive at location. They already despatch Jetstream aircraft for initial assessment of situation. Somemore its at nite. After we arrive, the pilot me and my winchman to the vessel.
After 30min at scene, we stabilised the pt and ready to lift him up to our helicopter. IN the helicopter, me and my doctor doing all the necessary treatment for him and about one hour later, We arrived at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and we hand over him to the ED team.
After that we took abt one hour plus to reach back our base and thru out the whole journey, was enjoying the nite view of HK...
How i wish i can go back again...its more fun than my current job..
